Today was a Marathon at work. I had to work about 2.5 hours over to get files ready for my students next year. They're going off to 3rd and 4th grade. I have 7 in the class I'm working with. 6 boys and 1 girl. Let me tel you, it's qute the zoo some days. Today for example, one boy decided it would be fun to dance around the classroom and shout out while another decided to call home in the middle of class to say he wanted to come home. What gives? Am I getting old? I never would have dreamed of behaving like that when I was a kid. I made my first boo-boo of the summer today, I made one of my students cry. I felt soooo bad. I asked her why she hadn't waited for me to get her before school (like I always do) and she thought I was mad at her. I had to explain to her that I wasn't mad at her. All ended well though, and by the end of class today she was laughing and we had planned a mean game of old maid for tomorrow's recess time :-)
On the Theatre front. Had two auditions this weekend got called back for both, but didn't get one of them. It's no surprise, it was a dance show, and i can't dance! :-) At least not tap dance! The other show was a Gilbert and Sullivan which several friends are involved with. There was a whole group of us there and we were going down the line saying hi and giving hugs to everyone. After, we went to Red Robin (where my other friend met up with us) and then to my friend Amy's house for another hour or so of singing. After that, Amy, her mom and I had a long discussion about Harry Potter and the future of Book 7. Amy adn her mom belong ot a few list serves that have discussion, so it was pretty fun trying ot figure out whaqt was going to happen in the next book. Including whether it would be set at Hogwarts or not. I personally would like to see Harry Kick the crap out of a few people who shall remain nameless and begin to finally be happy for once!
Ok, i digress. The rest of the weekend was pretty damn good if I do say so. I went to see Paitence (another Gilbert and Sullivan) and hung out with my frined Jeanne on Saturday and watched the Notebook. What an incredible movie! Very sad, but beautiful. I reccomend it if you haven't seen it yet.
Been thinking more about migrating to the UK, and am beginning to feel much more comfortable with the idea. We'll see what comes of it.
That's it for now, It's late, and work comes very early in the morning!
